
NAIROBI EXCURSIONS
If you have a day to spend in Nairobi, on transit or having a break of 2, 3 or 4 days, you can tour Nairobi or do short Kenyan safaris. During your stay we can arrange a number of interesting excursions that will show you the special sights of the city in the Nairobi City Tour including a visit to the David Shedrick Elephant Orphanage, the Giraffe Centre, the Karen Blixen Museum, the Nairobi National Park, the Bomas of Kenya or the Carnivore Restaurant just to name a few.

Nairobi City Tour

Nairobi is the capital and largest city of Kenya. It is popularly known as the “Green City in the Sun”. It is currently the 4th largest city in Africa and the most populous city in East Africa.
The Nairobi city walking tour covers the modern city center and the colorful City Market, Parliament buildings, the Nairobi railway station museum and the renowned National Museum where there are spell binding displays of the early man tribal regalia and the flora and fauna of Kenya.
A visit to the adjacent Snake Park is also included.

Bomas of Kenya Tour

Bomas of Kenya is a homestead with numerous homesteads reflecting Kenya's cocktail of cultures depicted in a traditional village life style. You will be treated to a rich traditional music and dance show at this cultural centre.
The greatest excitement is the display of traditional dances, music, and songs being performed in a splendid arena in the afternoon. Enjoy the rich traditional dances, villages and handicrafts displayed at the Bomas of Kenya.
Traditional dishes may be served as extras.

David Shedrick Tour

Born from one family’s passion for Kenya and its wilderness, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is today the most successful orphan-elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world and one of the pioneering conservation organisations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa. This is a unique opportunity to experience the feeding of baby orphaned elephants and rhinos...up close! Visiting hours are limited to 1100hrs - 1200hrs.
Nairobi Mamba Village Resort is located in Nairobi's leafy Karen Suburb, about 13 Kilometers away from the hustle and bustle of Kenya's Capital City. Mamba Village is a great place to see crocodiles, ostriches, giraffes, and even rabbits in Nairobi. A wide range of facilities are provided at the resort, located in a spacious and serene environment accessible by a tarmac and all-weather road.
Nairobi Mamba Village has over recent months earned emergent status as an important environmental education centre.

Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National Park is a unique ecosystem by being the only protected area in the world close to a capital city. The park is located only 7 km from Nairobi city centre.
The savannah ecosystem comprise of different vegetation types. Open grass plains with scattered acacia bush are predominant. Major wildlife attractions are the Black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffaloes, Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, elands and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded.
Other attractions include the Ivory burning site Monument, Nairobi Safari Walk, the Orphanage and the walking trails at hippo pools.

Karen Blixen Tour

The Karen Blixen museum is one of a number of very interesting regional museums and archeological and prehistoric sites of the National museums of Kenya. It is open to the Public every day (9.30 am to 6pm) including weekends and public holidays.
The Giraffe Center, located approximately 20km from Nairobi city is a wonderful and refreshing experience. The tour gives a completely up close and personal interaction where guests have the opportunity to view giraffes as well as feed them.
You can as well as get fantastic close up shots of the giraffes!

Carnivore Experience

The Carnivore restaurant is considered 'Africa’s Greatest Eating Experience'. This open-air meat speciality restaurant has strikingly different food, service and atmosphere to anything ever seen in Kenya. Every type of meat imaginable, including four choices of wild game, are roasted on traditional Maasai swords over a huge, visually spectacular charcoal pit that dominates the entrance of the restaurant.
The waiters then carry these swords around the restaurant, carving unlimited amounts of the prime meats onto sizzling, cast iron plates in front of you. A wide selection of salads, vegetable side dishes, and a variety of exotic sauces accompany the meat feast. Dessert and coffee follow this. The full meal including a soup course is at a set price.
The Carnivore is also home of the Simba Saloon, a delicious a la carte restaurant by day and Nairobi's most popular nightclub.
